Today, Google Celebrates A German Mathematician’s Birthday

Ngebray.com,- Google Doodle is celebrating the 241st birthday of the “Prince of Mathematicians”. Johann Carl Friedrich Gauss was a German mathematician, physicist and astronomer. He rose from humble origins to become one of the world’s greatest minds.

While still a teenager, Gauss became the first person to prove the Law of Quadratic Reciprocity. A few years later, using only a ruler and compass, he constructed a 17-sided polygon or “heptadecagon” and in doing so solved a mathematical puzzle begun by Greek mathematicians.
