Remains of 19th Century Chinese Migrants Found in Peru

Ngebray.com,- Human remains from nearly 200 years ago have been found in Peru. Archaeologists discovered the remains of 16 Chinese men. They were Chinese migrants who arrived as semi-enslaved workers. Around 100,000 Chinese migrants arrived in Peru in the 19th century.

The discovery was made at a sacred tomb in Peru’s capital, Lima, as a civilization called “Ichma”. The tomb is the biggest burial site of Chinese migrants ever found in Peru. It flourished before being conquered by the Incas in 1470.
