Indonesian Firework Factory Explosion Is Under Investigation

Ngebray.com,- An explosion and inferno at a fireworks factory in Indonesia killed at least 47 people, and injured dozens. Most of the victims were female workers who were apparently locked inside. Witnesses said a huge explosion was heard from the factory on last Thursday at about 10 a.m.

Police says the cause of explosion came from malpractice welder. Now one of welder has been under investigation. 103 people were working at the factory, and 10 are still unaccounted for. A witness said he saw police and residents smash through a factory wall so workers could escape. According to a local official, the factory’s proximity to a residential area was against regulations.
