Apple Announced iPad For Classroom

Ngebray.com,- Apple just announced a new cheaper iPad. Here’s what to know about it. Apple is seeking to stand out in the classroom market-currently dominated by Google and Microsoft. The 9.7 inch iPad costs $327, but schools can purchase it at a lower price of $299. The new tablet is also compatible with the Apple Pencil which was only compatible with the more expensive Pro tablets.

Schools will get 200GB of iCloud storage instead of 5GB and will have the option to buy the Apple Pencil for $89 instead of $99. Google’s Chrome OS devices accounted for 59.6 percent of device shipments in the kindergarten through 12th grade U.S. market in the fourth quarter of 2017. Microsoft Windows platform, meanwhile, lead the global market with 43,5% of shipments in 2017. Apple’s new iPad is currently available for preorder.
